BIOGRAFIA
Lo studio di Design ROMANI SACCANI ARCHITETTI ASSOCIATI è stato fondato nel 1999 dalla collaborazione professionale tra gli architetti Michele Romani e Mauro Saccani, nata già alcuni anni prima dalla condivisione dell’intero percorso formativo, dapprima come studenti dell'indirizzo di Design dell'Istituto Statale d’Arte di Monza, e successivamente come compagni nel corso di Laurea in Architettura al Politecnico di Milano (1998) nella medesima tesi per la riqualificazione e valorizzazione paesaggistica dell’insediamento storico de “Le cinque corti di Bernate” nel Comune di Arcore che è stata indicata e premiata come esperienza positiva dalla Regione Lombardia, attestato 2009. Dopo aver collaborato come freelancers con alcuni studi di Architettura dell’hinterland Milanese ed aver partecipato a vari concorsi sia di design che di architettura (nel 1999 vincono il 3° premio al concorso per la ristrutturazione ed ampliamento della sede del Comune di Ornago con il progetto “Il cubo e la piazza”) oggi sono sempre più rivolti al settore del product design e annoverano tra i loro clienti numerose collaborazioni con aziende di design sia del settore illuminotecnico che del comparto mobile o del complemento d’interni .
Ogni loro nuovo concept scaturisce da una consapevole rilettura della memoria del passato e diventa un atto di sintesi tra fantasia e concretezza, di sfida alla gravità delle omologazioni e delle consuetudini. Tanto più l’idea generatrice sarà “semplice”, tanto più risulterà vincente il progetto: quindi il “semplice”, che non significa mai banale, inteso come prima forma di eleganza e di rifiuto per l'eccesso e la volgarità, come capacità essenziale e pura di comunicare il senso autentico delle cose.
Nel 2006 la collezione di lampade Diadema prodotta da Vetreria Vistosi rientra nei progetti menzionati all’interno dell’ ADI Design Index, selezione preliminare alla XXI edizione del Premio Compasso d’Oro e costituisce il loro primo riconoscimento più prestigioso.
Nel 2016 la collezione Gadora prodotta da Evi Style di Luci Italiane vince la prima edizione del Premio VSL Award indetto da Rete di Imprese, Luce in Veneto come "Migliore lampada decorativa in stile classico".
I loro prodotti sono stati pubblicati sulle pagine delle più qualificate riviste del settore quali: DOMUS, ABITARE, INTERNI Magazine e special edition King-size, ELLE Decor e ELLE Decoration, AD Architectural Digest, VOGUE Living, Marie Claire Maison, AREA, Ottagono, CasAmica allegato Corriere della Sera, RCasa&Design inserto de La Repubblica, Design Diffusion News, Bravacasa, CASA Facile ed inseriti su importanti portali web quali: Architonic, Archiproduct, Archiexpo, Archilovers, Edilportale, Houzz, Homify, 1stdibis, Artemest, STIRpad.
The design studio ROMANI SACCANI ARCHITETTI ASSOCIATI was founded in 1999 by the professional collaboration between the architects Michele Romani and Mauro Saccani, born some years before by sharing the entire training course, first as students of the Design Institute of the State Institute of Art of Monza, and subsequently as companions in the degree course in Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan (1998) in the same thesis for the redevelopment and landscape enhancement of the historical settlement of "The Five Courts of Bernate" in the Municipality of Arcore which is was indicated and awarded as a positive experience by the Lombardy Region, attested 2009. After having worked as freelancers with some architecture studios of the Milanese hinterland and having participated in various competitions both in architecture design (in 1999 they won the 3rd prize in the competition for the restructuring and expansion of the Ornago Town Hall with the project "I the cube and the square ") today are increasingly aimed at the product design sector and count among their customers numerous collaborations with design companies both in the lighting sector and in the mobile or interior complements sector.Each of their new concepts stems from a conscious re-reading of the memory of the past and becomes a synthesis between imagination and concreteness, challenging the gravity of the approvals and customs. The more the generating idea will be "simple", the more successful the project will be: therefore the "simple", which never means banal, understood as the first form of elegance and rejection for excess and vulgarity, as an essential capacity and pure to communicate the true meaning of things.In 2006 the Diadema collection of lamps produced by Vetreria Vistosi is part of the projects mentioned in the ADI Design Index, a preliminary selection for the 21st edition of the Compasso d'Oro Award and constitutes their first most prestigious recognition.In 2016, the Gadora collection produced by Evi Style by Luci Italiane won the first edition of the VSL Award Awarded by the Business Network, Luce in Veneto as "Best decorative lamp in classic style".Their products have been published on the pages of the most qualified magazines of the sector such as: Domus, Abitare, Interni King-size, AD Architectural Digest, Marie Claire Maison, Ottagono, CasAmica attached Corriere della Sera, RCasa & Design insert of La Repubblica, Design Diffusion News, Bravacasa, and inserted on important portals web such as: Architonic, Archiproduct, Archiexpo, Archilovers, Edilportale, Houzz, Homify, 1stdibis.
